Acceptable Use Policy

Guidelines prohibiting abuse, malicious activities, and network exploitation on ShortLink.

Editorial Policy Notice / Template Draft

This policy outlines prohibited content categories and platform enforcement rules enforced by our automated Trust & Safety moderation engine.

1. Strictly Prohibited Categories

ShortLink enforces zero-tolerance prohibitions against links directing to, promoting, or facilitating:

  • Phishing & Credential Theft: Deceptive login portals masquerading as financial institutions, cloud providers, email providers, or identity systems.
  • Malware & Exploit Kits: Direct downloads or distribution pages for viruses, Trojans, ransomware, keyloggers, or spyware.
  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Immediate link termination, domain ban, and law enforcement escalation.
  • Scams & Financial Fraud: Ponzi schemes, advance fee fraud, fake crypto doublers, and impersonation fraud.
  • Unsolicited Bulk Spam: Links engineered exclusively for spam email blasts, SMS phishing (smishing), or forum link flooding.
  • Circumvention & Network Exploits: Attempts to use our link tools to probe private internal subnets (SSRF attacks) or bypass corporate perimeter firewalls.

2. Proactive Detection & Automated Enforcement

All links created through our API, web dashboard, or anonymous public shorteners are screened through:

  • Real-time anti-SSRF IP and hostname resolution filtering.
  • Platform domain blacklist validation.
  • Dynamic redirect chain inspection to uncover nested deceptive hops.

3. Reporting Abuse

If you discover a ShortLink link that violates this Acceptable Use Policy, please submit an immediate abuse report through our dedicated portal:
